Candidate Jeremy Kapumbo He keeps the official wiki for educators using the Second Life immersive environment  www.simteach.com. His instructional technology project connecting Moodle and Second Life has attracted hundreds of participants from around the world  www.sloodle.com. Foxfish Falta is taking advantage of the simulation and constructive learning experiences enabled by Second Life. She is bringing her LIBR 285 Research Methods students to the virtual world. They will practice semi-structured interview and participant action techniques in an easily accessible heterogeneous environment. Rathlin Zeno She was the first SLIS administrator in the nation to enter Second Life with a full island. She used funds from a Soros Foundation grant and sent in several students to SL on a research section. She is in the process of having an office built and creating an outreach center. Bela Courier Last semester she offered meetings in Second Life to her students. She plans to bring more students to SL campus in the coming semester to discuss and implement effective learning activities. Greylin Fairweather She has been working on making the SJSU SLIS campus user friendly through the SLIS Guide Program, instructional videos, campus infrastructure development and various other projects. Robin heads Dr. Loertscher&#8217;s Knowville 3D project and is working to bring it into the teen grid. Faculty at SJSU are working hard, but SL can be fun, too.
